Modern Slavery Statement

Our statement on the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.

Last updated

Introduction

Modern slavery covers the offences set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015, including slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour — where victims are pressured, deceived or coerced into providing work against their will — and human trafficking, where individuals are moved with the intention of exploiting them.

Microsystems International (UK) Limited has been providing umbrella, outsourcing and related services to UK contractors and businesses since 1997. We prohibit modern slavery in all parts of our operations and are committed to acting with integrity in our dealings with employees, contractors, clients, suppliers and other associated persons.

Policy statement

All personnel — including employees, directors, agency workers engaged through our umbrella, representatives and business partners — must:

  • Not engage in, facilitate, or fail to report any activity that could amount to or give the appearance of a breach of this policy;
  • Complete the training we provide on identifying modern slavery and responding appropriately;
  • Apply proportionate due diligence when bringing new agencies, end-clients or suppliers into our supply chain.

Compliance with this policy

Suspicions of modern slavery — whether inside our organisation or anywhere in our supply chain — should be reported to a line manager or via the channels set out in our Whistleblowing Policy. Anyone who raises a concern in good faith will be protected from any form of detrimental treatment, including dismissal or disciplinary action.

Breaches of this policy

Any employee who breaches this policy may face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal for gross misconduct. We may terminate our relationship with any agency, supplier or other third party that fails to meet the standards set out in this statement.
